We are seeking candidates for Assistant Production Supervisor roles on the 12-hour day shift, with a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. What you’ll do as an Assistant Production Supervisor:
- Assist the Production Supervisor with daily plant operations and fill in during absences
- Support Line Leads with set-up, changeovers, and troubleshooting machine issues
- Update and print changeover sheets for Spectrum/Contour processes
- Facilitate and troubleshoot AX system usage; verify BOMs and inventory before production starts
- Investigate and document AX issues or abnormalities
- Lead training and documentation for new hires, 30/60/90-day check-ins, and annual reviews
- Track and update the yield loss tracker and review quality forms daily
- File downtime, waste tracking, and completed LPN documents
- Print, assign, and record cleaning PMs in MP2 on a weekly/monthly basis
- Participate in training on new processes and equipment, including self-study
- Act as a liaison for production during customer and vendor visits
- Assist with general plant operations and perform other duties as assigned
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, quality production standards, and Food Safety protocol
What you need to become an Assistant Production Supervisor:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret instructions in English
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with GMP and/or HACCP regulations (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and customer portals (preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in a fast-paced production environment (preferred)
- Prior lead or supervisory experience (preferred)
- Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced manufacturing setting with varying temperatures
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
- Must be able to wear required PPE (earplugs, hairnets, etc.) and work around products containing alcohol
