What You'll Do as the Plant Manager:
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, and workforce performance
- Establish and sustain a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Develop and execute operational strategies to meet production, cost, quality, and efficiency targets
- Oversee daily production and process performance, identifying bottlenecks and driving process optimization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and all applicable safety and regulatory requirements
- Partner with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and preventive maintenance programs
- Lead, develop, and engage plant personnel through hiring, training, performance management, and workforce development
- Manage plant budgets, track KPIs, and report operational performance to senior leadership
What You Need to Bring to the Plant Manager Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience)
- 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing or processing operations
- 3–5 years of plant leadership or senior supervisory experience
- Experience in continuous process manufacturing, industrial processing, or material production
- Strong quality background within lab settings
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team development skills
- Preferred-Experience in a start up or plant opening situation
- Proven ability to drive process optimization and operational improvement
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills with proficiency in operational systems and Microsoft Office
