Our hospital currently operates in Marietta, Georgia, where our team of emergency clinicians, board-certified specialists, and highly skilled veterinary professionals collaborate to deliver advanced medical care while fostering a culture built on integrity, teamwork, empathy, and clinical excellence.
As Dogwood continues to grow and expand to an additional hospital site within the Atlanta area, we are seeking an experienced Hospital Administrator to help lead operational strategy, hospital performance, and team development during this exciting next phase of growth.
The Hospital Administrator serves as the operational and strategic leader of the hospital, working closely with the Medical Directors and leadership team to guide day-to-day operations, support hospital performance, and help position Dogwood for continued growth.
As the organization prepares to expand into an additional site, this role will play an important part in helping ensure operational consistency, strong team development, and scalable systems that support the future of the hospital.

What your day will look like
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Partner with Medical Directors and leadership to support Dogwood’s operational strategy and future growth initiatives
- Help guide the hospital through a period of organizational expansion and operational scaling
- Identify opportunities to improve hospital operations, service offerings, and team collaboration
- Support strategic planning initiatives that strengthen the hospital’s long-term success
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily hospital operations including client services, team support, HR collaboration, finance, and facilities
- Implement systems and workflows that improve efficiency, communication, and team experience
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure operational consistency and quality across departments
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing, collaborative hospital team
- Foster a workplace culture centered on respect, transparency, accountability, and teamwork
- Support leadership development among department managers and supervisors
- Promote professional development and continuous learning throughout the hospital
- Oversee hospital budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
- Monitor operational metrics and key performance indicators
- Partner with leadership to support sustainable growth and strong financial health
- Utilize hospital data to guide operational decision-making
- Champion a client experience rooted in compassion, communication, and trust
- Support relationships with referring veterinarians and community partners
- Represent Dogwood within the local veterinary and professional community
Experience
- 3–5 years of leadership experience within a veterinary, specialty veterinary, or healthcare environment
- Experience in emergency or specialty veterinary medicine strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage hospital operations, and support organizational growth
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Veterinary Technology, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager)
- RVT / LVT / CVT
- MBA or advanced leadership training
- Candidates pursuing Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) credentials

- Annual salary range: $100,000 – $140,000
