What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Director for Assisted Living position at Dogwood Corinth?

Responsibilities include:
- Vibrancy of the overall community including all residents being out of their rooms as much as possible.
- Ensuring that those that cannot attend a group activity have engagement and interaction with someone on a daily basis for at least 20 minutes.
- Held accountable for attendance at activities as they should be strongly promoting and encouraging good attendance.
- Attendance sheet at each activity signed or initialed by resident.
- Properly documenting for non-attending resident of daily activity that was engaged one on one.
- Weekly conversations with management on each resident’s engagement.
- Creating Monthly Activity Calendar with 2 activities per day (morning and afternoon).
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including listening skills.
- Must have two years’ experience in geriatrics or equivalent.
- Familiar with gerontology and an overall view of health care delivery, including State regulations.
- Must have an overall “caring” personality and attitude.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted and 125 pounds per person in a two-person lift.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
