Position Overview:
As a Veterinary Technician, you will be an integral part of our medical team, supporting our doctors in delivering patient-centered care while ensuring an efficient, organized, and positive experience for our clients and their pets. We are seeking a tech who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and shares our passion for patient advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests, radiographs, dental cleanings, and patient monitoring
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
- Provide high-quality patient care and monitoring during hospitalization
- Educate clients on preventative care, post-operative care, medications, and general pet wellness
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment sheets, and patient histories
- Uphold Fear Free handling and restraint techniques to minimize patient stress
- Support daily clinic operations, including cleaning, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician strongly preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a veterinary technician in small animal practice
- Excellent patient handling and restraint skills with a Fear Free approach
- Strong technical skills including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, radiology, and laboratory procedures
- Commitment to teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills
