Role Description The Accounts Payable Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Beaumont, TX. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, matching purchase orders, and ensuring timely payments in accordance with company policies. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing expense reports, coding and entering journal entries, reconciling accounts payable ledgers, and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies. The coordinator collaborates closely with accounting, finance, and operations staff to maintain accurate records, support month-end closing, and respond to vendor inquiries. The role also involves maintaining documentation, supporting audits, and contributing to the continuous improvement of accounts payable processes.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting skills, including experience with Accounting and Journal Entries (Accounting).
- Background in Finance with the ability to understand and support financial processes and reporting.
- Proficiency in managing Expense Reports and related documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for identifying discrepancies, reconciling accounts, and improving workflows.
- Working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is beneficial.
