Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on HVAC systems, including electrical systems, refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning units, and building automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct HVAC system installations and upgrades, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain and service mechanical systems including plumbing, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other related equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and emergency troubleshooting on HVAC/R systems.
- Interpret schematics and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical information clearly and ensuring client needs are met promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with construction experience preferred; demonstrated mechanical systems repair skills essential.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and building automation systems.
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics, schematics interpretation, refrigeration technology, plumbing systems, and boiler operation.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC design is a plus.
- Valid EPA certification required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Valid van driver’s license preferred for on-site travel; experience operating various mechanical tools is necessary.

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
