Dogtopia is the largest network of daycare-focused stores in the world with over 200 daycares in the US. We have a focus on socializing dogs and we do this in our playrooms. Pet parents have the ability to watch their dogs on our Webcams all day! As the Shift Lead, you are the main point of contact for our pet parents. Your role is to build trusting relationships with our parents who are regulars coming to see us multiple times per week. You are the Chief Experience Officer for our pet parents because we want the best part of their day to be coming to Dogtopia. Giving them this awesome experience not only builds long-term connections but this is how they trust us with their dogs.

In this energetic role, you will lead front desk operations during your shift, ensuring smooth daily functions while delivering exceptional customer service to pet parents and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing outstanding customer support with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls efficiently using proper phone etiquette
- Oversee daily office operations including filing, data entry, appointment scheduling, and calendar management to ensure seamless workflow
- Lead front desk team members during your shift, delegating tasks such as client communication, appointment check-ins, and administrative duties
- Maintain accurate records of pet check-ins/check-outs, client information, and service details using Microsoft Office applications and other computer tools
- Handle clerical tasks such as proofreading documents, managing client files, and organizing supplies to support efficient facility operations
- Support client communication by providing clear information about services, policies, and upcoming events while fostering a welcoming atmosphere
Experience
- Previous office management or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook along with excellent computer literacy skills
- Experience answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Customer service experience that highlights strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Experience working with dogs preferred
- Familiarity with clerical tasks such as filing, proofreading, typing, and calendar management is advantageous
