Dog Attendant - Wheat Ridge

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your love for animals and commitment to their well-being will ensure that each dog receives the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Provide basic training and behavioral guidance to dogs as needed.
• Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including kennels, play areas, and equipment.
• Assist with feeding, administering medications, and providing general care for the dogs.
• Interact with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is highly preferred.
• Skills in dog training or veterinary assistance are a plus.
• Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is beneficial.
• Experience in kennel operations or as a veterinary technician is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
• Ability to handle animals safely and comfortably, including restraint when necessary.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks that may involve heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
