Part-Time Dog Trainer
Eau Claire, Wi
We are looking to bring on a Part-Time Dog Trainer to join our growing team in Eau Claire! This is a great opportunity for a passionate, knowledgeable trainer who loves helping dogs and their owners build strong foundations through positive, effective training.
We are especially looking for someone who can confidently lead:
- Beginner-level obedience classes
- Puppy kindergarten / puppy foundation classes
- Basic manners and socialization skills
We are open to discussing flexible structures with a seasoned trainer, including class-based pay, hourly compensation, or alternative partnership-style arrangements depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead structured group obedience and puppy classes
- Educate pet parents on training techniques and behavior management
- Create a welcoming, supportive classroom environment
- Track client progress and provide follow-up guidance
- Maintain a clean, safe training space
- Collaborate with our facility team to ensure a seamless client experience
Qualifications:
- Previous dog training experience required
- Strong understanding of positive reinforcement-based training methods
- Experience teaching group classes preferred
- Excellent communication skills and comfort speaking to groups
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Certification (CPDT-KA, IAABC, etc.) is a plus but not required

Schedule:

Competitive pay based on experience. Open to discussion for seasoned trainers with established programs. We would be looking at negotiating a range between $20 - 30 an hour.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
