Duties
- Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures
- Assess each dog’s coat condition and skin health, recommending additional veterinary or pet care if necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas after each appointment
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, special requests, and aftercare instructions
- Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring a gentle yet firm approach to reduce stress for the animals
- Support pet care routines such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and de-shedding treatments as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in pet grooming is necessary.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for bathing tubs or equipment setup is essential for smooth operation.
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
