What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Attendant position at Doggie in the Window?
Job Purpose:
Serves customer by providing care for their dog(s) by assuring a clean and safe environment is maintained for the dogs.
Experience highly recommended, but not mandatory.
Must love dogs!
A very busy luxurious daycare and boarding facility.
Duties:

Monitoring and observing group play both indoors and outdoors.
Assist in managing escalated behavioral issues between dogs.
Feed meals.
Bathing dogs.
Picking up and disposing of dog excrement.
Mopping.
Sweeping.
Vacuuming.
Cleaning outdoors (using hoses, sprayers, cleaning agents, rake).
Wiping down dogs.
Moving dogs throughout facility using kennel leads.
Taking pictures.
Leash and unleash dogs.
Walk dogs to specified areas.
Skills:
Physical Labor.
Must be able to learn multiple dogs' names - perhaps 100 in any given day.
Be able to follow instructions (reading, writing, verbal).
Be able to communicate observations to senior staff.
Have the stamina to be on feet for up to 8 hours per day. Breaks are given throughout the day.
Personal:
Honest.
Trustworthy.
Good attendance.

We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Shifts can start as early as 6:00am (mostly 6:15am) and some shifts end at 10:30pm. Most shifts are 8 hours long.
You are not expected to work every weekend or every holiday, but you will be expected to work on these days - assume half.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
