Job Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator will manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This role is responsible for monitoring stock levels, creating regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that inventory data is accurate and up to date.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels
- Provide regular cycle count sheets to locations
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to management
- Coordinate with the parts managers and vendors to ensure timely parts availability
- Identify and report obsolete or slow-moving inventory and assist with disposal or return processes
- Organize and file related paperwork
- Assist with periodic audits
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus 2 years of inventory control or parts management experience in the heavy-duty trucking or automotive industry preferred
- Basic accounting skills required
- Use inventory management software (such as Procede, Karmak, CDK, or similar) to track parts usage, reorders, and stock levels
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be willing to take on new challenges
- Must always be professional
