The Role

We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and dog-savvy Part-Time Receptionist to join our salon in Stratford, CT. You’ll be the first point of contact for our clients — managing the front desk, handling appointments, answering calls, and making sure every client and their pet feels welcome from the moment they walk in. This is a great fit for someone who loves dogs, knows their breeds, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-facing role.

What You'll Do

• Greet clients and their pets with a warm, professional welcome
• Manage the appointment schedule — booking, confirming, and adjusting as needed
• Answer phone calls, texts, and emails and respond to client inquiries
• Check pets in and out, ensuring accurate records and a smooth handoff to groomers
• Keep the front desk and reception area clean, organized, and inviting
• Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed
• Communicate with groomers to keep the day running smoothly

Compensation

• $17–$20 per hour based on experience
• 20 hours per week
• Friday and Saturday availability is required

What We're Looking For

• Dog breed knowledge is required
• Vet tech or grooming experience is a plus
• Experience with Pet CRM software (MoeGo) for scheduling and appointment management is a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Organized and able to multitask in a busy environment
• Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Reliability is key — Friday and Saturday availability is required
• A genuine love for dogs and a positive, welcoming attitude
