Professional Dog Trainer

Dog Training Elite DFW is a dog training company that is results oriented, people forward and community minded. We train dogs in puppy training, obedience, behavioral modification, therapy, protection, and service dogs. Always operating with a high level of integrity. A love for dogs and learning are a must! We are also looking for individuals who enjoy people, teaching/coaching, and giving back to our communities. Previous dog training experience not required however preferred. Our training takes place mostly in clients’ homes providing the opportunity to work in multiple environments and with a variety of people and dogs.

Qualifications include:

ü We are seeking confident, responsible, and passionate candidates.

ü Preferred to have your own four-legged canine partner that goes to work with you (don’t worry if they are not trained, we’ll do that as part of your training)

ü Excellent communication skills are a must, especially interpersonally, in meetings, and in working with a variety of people.

ü Experience with face-to-face marketing, like farmer’s markets or exhibitor fairs is highly preferred.

ü Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required

ü Willing to work all areas within the DFW Metroplex

ü Able to work weeknights, weekends & select holidays consistently. Specific days off to be negotiated. Flexible working hours expected.

ü Lifting and bending required (min. 40 lbs.)

ü Background checks will be done as well as Driving Records

ü Non-compete/Confidentiality agreements will be required

ü Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities include:

ü Training client dogs in-home and/or in our locations

ü Ensure Facility cleanliness and sanitation

ü Deliver highest level of customer service

ü Assist with in-person marketing events, including set up and break down.

ü Care for our 4-legged customers at intake and during training camps, clean up mishaps, “air-out”/take outside

ü Ability to interact with dogs in a calm, non-threatening manner with all sizes/breads, engage in activity and exercise with dogs

ü Ability to work alone as well as in groups

Required Education:

ü High school or equivalent required

Workdays Vary, Weekends, Evenings and Select Holidays Required, Pay Range $33,000.00 - $56,000.00 annually.
