Night Custodian at Pet Care Facility

Dog Star Ranch is hiring a dependable Night Custodian to help keep our pet care facility clean, safe, organized, and ready for the next day.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in detailed cleaning, works well independently, and understands that cleanliness is a major part of animal care. Our facility serves dogs and their families, so the right person must be comfortable working in a pet care environment with pet hair, odors, dirt, and routine facility messes.

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas of the facility each night
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and spot-clean floors and surfaces
• Clean restrooms, staff areas, lobbies, hallways, and common spaces
• Empty trash and replace liners throughout the building
• Restock paper products, soap, cleaning supplies, and other needed items
• Help maintain odor control and overall facility appearance
• Clean pet care areas as assigned
• Follow nightly cleaning checklists and sanitation procedures
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety issues, or supply needs
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and properly
• Secure assigned areas at the end of the shift

• Nightly evening/overnight hours
• Exact shift times to be discussed during the interview
• Weekend and holiday availability may be required
• Part-time or full-time may be available depending on facility needs

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility cleaning experience preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working around dogs and in a pet care facility
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow written instructions and cleaning checklists
• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, carry, push, and pull during the shift
• Comfortable with physical cleaning work
• Must be dependable and trustworthy when working after hours

• Takes pride in a clean, safe facility
• Can stay on task without direct supervision
• Communicates when something needs attention
• Understands that cleaning in a pet care facility is important, physical, and rewarding work.
