The Election Administrative Assistant supports the electoral process by assisting with the preparation, administration, and post-processing of elections. This includes voter registration, ballot handling, customer service, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal election laws.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist with voter registration and verification of eligibility.
- Manage correspondence, schedule meetings, maintain records, and prepare reports.
- Support with responding to inquiries from the public, elected officials, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare and organize election materials, including ballots, poll books, and voting equipment.
- Provide support at polling places, including setting up and taking down equipment.
- Greet visitors, assist clients, and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
- Issue ballots and provide instructions on voting procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of voter participation and election results.
- Assist with absentee and early voting processes.
- Participate in post-election activities such as ballot counting and auditing.
- Ensure compliance with election laws, policies, and procedures.
- Provide general clerical support to the Election Office.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Familiarity with election laws and procedures.
- Experience with voter registration systems or electronic voting equipment.
