Essential Job Functions
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, budgets, and records for the Highway Department.
- Managing incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate staff.
- Coordinating meetings, conferences, and appointments for the Highway Department.
- Maintaining and updating departmental files and records.
- Assisting with procurement of supplies, equipment, and services for highway projects.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders, work orders, payroll and invoices.
- Tracking and maintaining inventory records.
- Assisting with public communication and outreach related to roadwork, closures, and other department initiatives.
- Providing general administrative support to the department’s staff and leadership.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required
- High School diploma or equivalent supplemented by a course in typewriting.

Preferred
- One year of general clerical experience.
