Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer to support critical satellite communication programs for the U.S. Space Force. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert, driving integration strategies across complex satellite communication systems, segments, and subsystems. You will work at the intersection of Government and contractor teams, playing a pivotal role in ensuring mission success across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
This position requires that you work on-site AND must live in or near El Segundo, CA

The Senior Evolved Strategic Systems (ESS) Ground Systems Integration Specialist will:
Integration Strategy & Technical Baseline Management
-
Develop and implement end-to-end integration strategies for satellite communication systems and segments, including Ground, Space, Crypto, and Terminals
-
Manage and maintain technical baselines across multiple stakeholders and organizations
-
Perform rigorous analysis and verification of system requirements that define the technical baseline
-
Review proposed changes to the technical baseline, assessing impacts to enterprise capabilities and cross-stakeholder integration
Digital Engineering & Modeling
-
Apply Digital Engineering methods and modeling strategies, including Digital Twins, to support integration and test activities
-
Leverage modern collaboration and development tools to advance program objectives
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
-
Partner with Government and contractor personnel to identify and close gaps in customer requirements across programs

Lead and support Government/Contractor Working Group meetings, including developing briefings, facilitating discussions, and authoring meeting minutes

Support major requirements reviews, design reviews, and other key program milestones
Risk, Issue & Schedule Management

Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies; surface schedule disconnects and conflicts proactively
-
Develop and deliver alternative solutions to address integration challenges while managing schedule impacts and overall product delivery

Assist the Government in developing and executing action plans for issue resolution
Advisory & Documentation Support

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), preparing and delivering technical briefings to U.S. Space Force program office personnel and key stakeholders

Provide well-reasoned courses of action to inform and support Government decisions

Facilitate program document reviews by consolidating and adjudicating comments in coordination with contractors
Security and Privacy Duties and Responsibilities:
Individuals working for SBG Technology Solutions, Inc, a DSS, Inc. will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Qualifications:Required

Hands-on experience with MILSATCOM programs (e.g., AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, FAB-T terminals)

Experience collaborating with military personnel and DoD civilians
-
Familiarity with ground and airborne systems, including terminals and networks
-
Exceptional interpersonal, oral/written communication, and presentation skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
Preferred

Experience with mission planning, COMSEC/TRANSEC, or key management

Demonstrated Technical Leadership experience within a Systems Engineering environment

Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline — Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Preferred: Master's degree in a technical discipline or Space Systems
Years of experience in a similar role:
Required: 15 years of demonstrated Systems Engineering experience
