Doctors of Physical Therapy is seeking a dynamic Clinic Director / Physical Therapist to lead our Council Bluffs clinic. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about delivering exceptional one-on-one patient care while also driving clinic performance, team development, and community engagement.
As Clinic Director, you will oversee daily clinic operations while maintaining an active patient caseload. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment and growing strong relationships both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and support clinic staff (PTs, OTs, PTAs, technicians, and front office team) to foster a collaborative and empowering culture
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflows and exceptional patient experiences
- Monitor clinic performance and ensure achievement of clinical and operational goals
- Manage staffing schedules and adjust clinical hours based on patient volume
- Maintain clinic compliance, appearance, safety, and equipment standards
- Monitor financial performance and operate within budget
Growth & Relationship Building
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, referral sources, and community partners
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to support clinic growth initiatives
- Participate in marketing and community outreach efforts
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and local organizations
Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular performance reports to the Director of Operations
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, case managers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure professional, timely, and accurate documentation and reporting
Clinical Responsibilities
In addition to leadership duties, this role includes direct patient care:
- Perform initial evaluations in accordance with APTA standards
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatments to improve patient outcomes
- Set and track patient goals (short- and long-term)
- Communicate patient progress with referring providers and care teams
- Develop home exercise programs to support recovery
- Plan and execute patient discharges
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (or eligible for licensure)
- Strong clinical, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of insurance reimbursement and compliance standards
- Passion for patient-centered care and team development
