Job Summary And Qualifications
The medical Front Office Coordinator is responsible for the organized and efficient operations of the front office and file room of the Women’s Diagnostic Center (WDC). Candidate will serve as a primary receptionist, greeting patients and answering general extension of the WDC, responsible for obtaining orders for procedures, completes correspondence as needed, obtain insurance cards for registration, maintains flow of patients to registration, assists with Fast Track of patients as needed, maintains data on tracking board, obtains history as needed for Mammography, PET and MRI, prepares Daily Diagnostic Schedule, responsible for making CD’s and faxing reports as needed, responsible for obtaining prior imaging procedures from outside facilities prior to the patient’s current appointment, uploads outside images and prepares records for comparison. Must be able to effectively work and communicate with physicians, nurses, patients, technologists, and physician office staff members. Must have a collaborative working relationship with the business office, HIM, and admitting/registration

What qualifications you will need:
- High school graduate or GED preferred with education in medical terminology, coding, insurance verification, or a related field
- Experience in similar setting, physician’s office, managed care insurance office, or hospital. Typing 55wpm, Microsoft Word, basic transcription, comfortable on the phone
