Position Overview
Doctors Advantage is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Onboarding Specialist to support our onboarding department. This role focuses on managing provider portal access and completing practice enrollments to ensure seamless onboarding for both our internal teams and client practices. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working across multiple payer platforms.
The Onboarding Specialist will work closely with our current Onboarding Specialist and report directly to the Directors of Quality Assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Navigate and manage insurance provider portals efficiently
- Obtain, set up, and maintain portal access for Doctors Advantage team members and client practice staff
- Complete practice enrollments for:
- EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
- ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice)
- EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
- Track and follow up on enrollment statuses to ensure timely completion
- Communicate with insurance payers and practice staff regarding enrollment requirements and issues
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to onboarding activities
- Collaborate with the onboarding team and quality assurance leadership to improve workflows and processes
- Ensure compliance with payer and company standards throughout the onboarding process
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with insurance provider portals strongly preferred
- Knowledge of EFT, ERA, and EDI enrollments is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating within a team
- Experience/knowledge in/of medical billing, credentialing, or healthcare administration is a huge plus
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
