Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and professional Delivery Driver & Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role will primarily focus on safely delivering prescriptions to patients, while also assisting pharmacy staff with daily operations when not on deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver prescriptions and pharmacy items to patients’ homes and facilities.
- Verify delivery details and obtain required signatures, maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Provide excellent customer service during each delivery.
- Assist pharmacy staff with:
- Organizing, stocking, and labeling medications.
- Answering phones and assisting patients at the counter.
- Light clerical tasks, filing, and prescription bagging.
- General support to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation (if using own vehicle) and proof of insurance, or ability to drive company-provided vehicle.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and move efficiently between pharmacy and delivery locations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred, but not required (training provided).
Schedule & Pay:
- Part-time position with flexible hours (approximately 2–4 days per week).
- Competitive hourly pay plus mileage reimbursement (if applicable).
