Molecular Technologist - Clinical Laboratory

This position is in our Molecular department focusing primarily on infectious disease molecular diagnostic testing which includes analyzing the stool microbiome. You will perform both automated and manual testing with the overall goal of providing results that will be used for diagnosis and management of health conditions.If you thrive in a fast paced environment doing state-of-the-art testing in a laboratory where you can make a difference then you may want to be a part of our growing molecular department.Currently filling:1st shift M-F Job Duties/Responsibilities:Perform high complexity tests by various analyzers in the Laboratory, and/or by manual methods, on various specimen sources, under close supervisionDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient careRequirements:• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, molecular biology or related field from an accredited college or university.• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience in molecular or microbiology• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred• Ability to work independently and within a team environment• Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills• Flexibility to work overtime and/or other shifts; business needs dependentIf you fit the above profile, we would love to hear from you!Company Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceLife, Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits401K including employer matchPaid PTO and HolidaysDoctor’s Data, Inc. is a premier international clinical laboratory specializing in integrative medicine with over 50 years experience in providing specialty testing to health care practitioners around the world.
