Medical Assistant & Administrative Support – Dr. Keloid | Atlanta Office

About Dr. Keloid / Lexington Plastic Surgeons – Atlanta

The Dr. Keloid team, part of Lexington Plastic Surgeons, is nationally recognized for its advanced cosmetic and reconstructive care, with a specialized focus on keloid treatment and scar management. Our Atlanta office is a dynamic, patient-centered environment where every team member contributes to an experience rooted in empathy, clinical excellence, and attentive service. We combine state-of-the-art medical procedures with a warm, supportive approach that guides patients confidently through every stage of their care journey.

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Medical Assistant who will also support administrative functions on an ad-hoc basis, including front desk operations and assisting the Office Manager when needed. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and enjoys stepping into multiple responsibilities to keep the practice running smoothly.

Candidates with experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or other high-volume specialty practices—especially those familiar with Nextech EMR—are strongly preferred. This position is central to ensuring seamless clinical flow, exceptional patient experience, and operational consistency across both clinical and administrative areas.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

• Assist the surgeon and clinical team during consultations, examinations, and in-office procedures.

• Maintain accurate, compliant, and confidential documentation within Nextech EMR.

• Provide clear, compassionate pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients.

• Support patient preparation, room setup, room turnover, and clinical supply organization.

Front Desk & Reception

• Welcome and check in patients, creating a warm and professional first impression.

• Manage phone lines, appointment scheduling, confirmation calls, and general reception inquiries.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-friendly reception area.

• Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and on-time scheduling.

Administrative & Ad-Hoc Office Support

• Assist with filing, billing, insurance documentation, and other administrative tasks as needed.

• Provide support to the Office Manager with operational tasks such as forms, reports, or follow-ups.

• Monitor and restock both clinical and administrative supplies.

• Support the call center during slower clinical periods by scheduling consultations and responding to patient inquiries.

• Step into front desk or general office roles during busy times, staff shortages, or special projects.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or office management training is a plus.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical office, preferably within plastic surgery, dermatology, or other specialty settings.

• Proficiency in Nextech EMR or similar platforms.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain a calm, empathetic, patient-focused presence.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities.

• Knowledge of clinical regulations, safety protocols, and patient confidentiality standards.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a specialty or high-volume medical practice.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills.

Benefits

• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.

• Paid time off.

• Opportunities for training, mentorship, and long-term professional growth.
