Job Summary
Doctor Heat Pump is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with a minimum of five years of HVAC experience. The technician will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install residential and light-commercial heating and cooling equipment. This position requires the ability to work independently, communicate professionally with customers, coordinate with management and dispatch, complete accurate paperwork, and perform work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, perform repairs, and install residential and light commercial heating and cooling equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify equipment deficiencies
- Travel to job sites in a timely manner with the ability to communicate with the manager and dispatch throughout each job
- Submit accurate and timely paperwork
- Ability to communicate with the customer professionally and be able to convey complex terms at the level of the audience
- Maintain a clean and stocked service vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Service and repair swamp coolers, hydronic systems, and water-source heating
- Ability to work independently, interact with vendors, and obtain the correct materials to ensure the job is done the first time correctly
- Must have excellent organizational skills. - Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Observe and comply with all company procedures and safety rules.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, work after hours, holidays, weekends, and rotate on-call
- Must have gauges, meters, and hand tools needed to perform job duties.

The employee must regularly lift up to 51 pounds; push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices when required); carry and climb ladders; work from heights; work in small crawl spaces; balance; stoop; and kneel. The employee is expected to work in all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat. The employee may drive for extended periods of time, including all weather and light conditions.
