Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Contract Dentist for an immediate full-time position with a commitment of three months, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general dentistry and be proficient in various dental procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient assessment and treatment, along with adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental care including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients of all ages.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment options and educate patients on oral health.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff members to deliver exceptional patient care in a clinical setting.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and practices.
Experience
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- DDS/DMD
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred, along with a solid understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and medical imaging techniques.
- Previous experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
