What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Docks Seafood?
We are gearing up for summer and hiring line cooks for our fast casual seafood restaurant serving fresh, elevated seafood dishes and sourcing a lot of our food locally. Looking for individuals who want to grow, who possess a strong work ethic, and who can work as part of a team. No experience needed as we will train the right candidate. We provide you with a free meal each day and you will receive extra compensation via online order tips. The job is considered seasonal. Pay is depending on experience.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh, plated to chef's standard
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam, fry and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
- Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
- Execute opening and closing procedures
- Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment
- Monitor station inventory levels
- Accommodate guests’ special requests
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills and fryers
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
