What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier position at DOCK WINE AND LIQUORS INC?
Main responsibilities include but not limited to ringing up sales and bagging items. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Follows the age verification policy with optimum accuracy and without exception.
Maintains individual workstations clean and in good working order.
Restocks merchandise in overhead cigarette racks, as well as products where applicable.
Abides by strict cashier control guidelines as set forth by the Company.
Follows all inventory control cashier procedures.
Assists all customers while on retail floor maintaining our Customer First Policy.
Assists customer with their packages, if necessary.
Collects hand shopping baskets and carts, if necessary.
Performs additional tasks and special projects as assigned by store manager or his/her assistant manager.
Works under immediate supervision.
Qualifications:Mandatory availability to work weekends including Fridays
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Full time employees must work 40 hrs a week
Retail experience preferred but not required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, move boxes and stand for long periods of time.
Must have basic computer skills.
