ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Dock Experts construction laborers make up the bulk of our field force: both barge and land crews: performing work
on daily, weekly, and project-based activities for all our marine construction
projects. High levels of integrity, accountability, the willingness to speak
up, and an unshakable ability to maintain a brisk pace and consistent positive,
can-do attitude are necessary in upholding TDX quality and safety standards
while disrupting and challenging the industry status quo.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ensure proper setup,
operation, take down, cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of materials,
equipment, and machinery
Assist in
loading/unloading of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from trucks,
jobsites, and barges, ensuring proper stowage and securing of cargo to prevent
shifting or damage during transit
If operating on a barge,
assist in proper mooring/anchoring of vessels, handling lines, chains, and
anchors in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
Perform tasks aligned to
projects: demolition, construction, and/or installation of seawalls, docks,
piles, boat lifts: digging, shoveling, lifting, carrying, carpentry, framing,
rigging, positioning structural components, and working with a wide variety of
tools and equipment
Ensure construction
equipment and tools are clean, organized, and stored in an orderly fashion
after each use. Dispose of rubble/debris/trash and hazardous, worn, damaged,
outdated, or other waste materials from work areas and maintain a baseline
organization and site cleanliness
Assist with routine
maintenance tasks, such as cleaning/painting/lubricating equipment &
machinery. Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the
appropriate personnel for resolution
Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB, EDUCATION,
AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school
diploma or equivalent
- Construction
experience
- Current,
valid driver’s license
- Reliable
personal transportation
- Conversational
in English
- Ability to
lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to
work a full shift in extreme heat
- Ability to
swim
- Ability to
pass a controlled substance screening
- Ability to pass a
background check
PREFERRED
EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS
- Experience in
marine construction
- Possess a
working knowledge of engineering drawings, sketches, and blueprints
- OSHA 10
Certified
- OSHA 4-Hour
Qualified Rigging & Signaling
- CPR &
First Aid Certified
- Class A CDL
license
- Bilingual
(English/Spanish)
