What You'll Do
As a Commercial HVAC/R Field Service Technician, you'll travel to customer locations to diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including walk-in freezers, reach-in freezers, coolers, and ice machines.
- Perform preventive maintenance to help keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
- Identify and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
- Inspect equipment, identify defective components, and complete repairs using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Determine parts and supplies needed to complete repairs and resolve service calls efficiently.
- Document completed work and communicate service updates with store managers, your regional DOC supervisor, and the assigned office administrator.
- Maintain your company vehicle and keep tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow DOC safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team and our customers.
What You Bring
- At least 5 years of commercial HVAC/R experience, including work with commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, reach-in freezers, coolers, and ice machines.
- A valid EPA certification is required.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize service calls, and complete repairs efficiently.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work with customers and team members.
- Your own basic set of tools needed to perform service and repair work.
- Comfort using mobile applications and technology to document service calls and work orders.
- A willingness to learn additional equipment and cross-train to support year-round service needs.
