Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and craft beers, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, process transactions efficiently, and handle cash with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and offering beverage recommendations based on preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in food service when needed by serving meals or snacks to guests in a timely manner.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to the bar’s creative offerings to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously through effective time management skills while maintaining a lively and energetic atmosphere.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or server in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with fine dining or banquet experience.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling and processing transactions accurately.
- Demonstrated expertise in mixology, spirits knowledge, wine pairing, and craft beer; ability to develop unique beverage recipes.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and the ability to engage diverse guests effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling practices, and basic math for retail math and cash management.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hospitality industry experience including catering or banquet experience is preferred but not required.
