About the Education Sector
Founded in 2015, Dobot Robotics created the world’s first desktop-grade collaborative robot that can be programmed using Python and graphical interfaces. Schools, especially in the STEM sector, adopted it quickly, and we expanded sales globally.
Soon after, we entered the CTE, Workforce Development, and Continuing Education sectors with a wide range of industrial collaborative robots covering payloads from 0.5 to 30 kg. Dobot is also used in competitions worldwide, including SkillsUSA and IROS. Recently, we have begun investing heavily in physical AI, designing and manufacturing our own humanoid robots and robot dogs. We are now expanding into the university research market as a new Sector.
About the Role
Responsibilities:
• Achieve the education sales targets and YoY growth via channel partner network in the assigned region.
• Hunt, develop and maintain a quality network of channel partners comprising of technical distribution- or education solution company who will scale with us.
• Onboard, activate, motivate and manage channel partners.
• Ability to develop partners to maximize their potential.
• Ability to influence and develop annual partner Dobot strategy and business plans.
• Manage and support channel partner’s pipeline.
• Regular review of business performances of channel partners and to influence and make root cause analysis on poor performances and apply counter measures.
• Manage distribution contract negotiations and signing.
• Conduct sales training to develop, motivate and support our channel partners’ sales team.
• Participate in outreach events i.e exhibitions, road shows, seminars, speaking opportunities.
• Help establish processes necessary in supporting business growth and in achieving targets.
• Provide market intelligence and carry out sales forecast and reporting.
What we look for:
• Excellent interpersonal skills, high standing, and abilities to manage relationship with our customers and our colleagues.
• More than three years of experience in establishing, developing and managing education channel partner network in a B-to-B sales environment.
• Proven track record of achieving education sales targets via channel partner network.
• Proven track record in penetrating new markets and in growing sales and market share exponentially.
• Preferably from the education workforce development and CTE/CE program or embodied intelligence industries.
• Excellent communicator, good at collaboration across departments/regions and understand cross-cultural differences.
• Understand and can present value propositions convincingly to customers.
• Work well independently but also a team player.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven.
• Strong understanding of solution sales business and working with channel partners.
• Ability to operate between “hunting” for new possibilities and “farming” existing customers and finding the required channel of partners to develop the business.
• Think and work at both strategic and hands on level.
• Flexible and professional.
