Position Summary:
Dobco Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating daily site activities, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining strong communication with project management and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex institutional and government-funded construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day field operations on construction projects from start to completion
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel
- Develop and manage project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements
- Enforce safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Conduct daily site walks and quality control inspections
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays
- Maintain project documentation including daily reports, logs, and progress photos
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities and third-party agencies
- Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
- Monitor labor productivity and recommend improvements as needed
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment
- Ensure jobsite cleanliness and organization
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Construction Superintendent (commercial/public works preferred)
- Experience with ground-up institutional or public works construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades
- Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
Salary : $110,000 - $170,000
