About the Role
Dobco, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team and oversee day-to-day field operations on a $50 million ground-up school project at Dover Air Force Base.
The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure the project is built safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities and field operations.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades on-site.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure work stays on track.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, deliveries, and site logistics.
- Conduct daily subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Review plans, drawings, and specifications and identify potential issues.
- Monitor quality of work and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate inspections and testing.
- Enforce jobsite safety requirements and OSHA standards.
- Identify and resolve field issues and conflicts.
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and project team.
- Track subcontractor progress and hold trades accountable for schedule and quality.
- Maintain daily reports and other required project documentation.
- Assist with punch list, closeout, and project turnover.
Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial, institutional, educational, or government construction experience.
- Previous experience as a Superintendent on projects of $20M preferred.
- Ground-up construction experience strongly preferred.
- School, higher education, government, military, or other institutional construction experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling.
Salary : $130,000 - $185,000
