This is a full-time, probationary, tenure-track position. Compensation and terms of employment are in accordance with the Dobbs Ferry United Teachers unit/contract. Range: $68,973 - $91,258
Requirements: NYSED Certification - Childhood Education 1-6 and B-2 or N-6; educational technology specialist certification preferred, but not required.
Description: The Elementary Technology Teacher is responsible for providing instruction in basic technology skills to students in kindergarten through grade 5 that are aligned with the NYS Content Learning Standards and the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons focusing on computer literacy, digital tools, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate technology into the core district curriculum (Science, ELA, Math, and Social Studies) and the elementary library curriculum.
- Model and explicitly teach healthy, safe, and ethical use of technology and internet safety.
- Assist in providing ongoing training for staff to support the use of technology for classroom instruction at differentiated levels.
- Oversee the maintenance and organization of technology equipment and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology in authentic ways and support other teachers with instructional technology.
- Proficiency in computer science principles, robotics design, engineering concepts, and digital literacy.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners, including those with disabilities.
