Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Staff to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs in various care settings. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient observation and monitor health status and overall well-being
- Assist with medication management according to care plans
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while adhering to dietary restrictions
- Assist clients with cleanliness and hygiene of living spaces through light cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
- Follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities care
- Assist with specialized care such as hospice, memory care, or long-term care services
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental health and emotional well-being
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience in caregiving or healthcare environments such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs is highly valued. Certifications in First Aid and CPR are preferred. Prior experience with medication administration, patient monitoring, hospice or home health care is advantageous is welcomed. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting or working with mobility aids. A background in social work or nursing is beneficial but not mandatory; a genuine passion for caregiving is essential for success in this role.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
