DNV Energy Systems is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer with deep expertise in data center energy systems to support the Silicon Valley Power (SVP) Energy Efficiency Incentive Program. This role involves conducting technical assessments, reviewing energy models and efficiency applications, performing on-site assessments, audits, and inspections, and delivering customer education. The Senior Energy Engineer will also manage projects, guide customers through the incentive process, and engage in community outreach to promote program participation and awareness.
This role is based at our DNV office in Santa Clara, CA, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. What You'll Do
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the programs' strategic direction regarding energy efficiency and the business activities of its customers
- Work with building owners, property managers, and or contractors to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance in participating in energy efficiency programs
- Conduct facility walk-throughs to identify energy efficiency opportunities and generate a corresponding summary report
- Conduct community outreach including program presentations to inform customers and contractors of energy efficiency incentive offerings
- Review and verify technical merits of business customer energy efficiency applications, including calculation of energy savings and verification of equipment specifications
- Review energy models submitted as part of energy efficiency applications to evaluate baseline assumptions and design impacts
- Perform customer site inspections to verify the installation of energy efficient equipment at utility commercial and industrial businesses
- Develop and/or evaluate request for proposals to support energy efficiency projects
- Project management support
