Job purpose
The Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of experiential marketing events, including trade shows, roadshows, customer events, and pop-up activations. This role manages all event logistics and tactical execution from concept through post-event analysis, ensuring seamless delivery, exceptional attendee experiences, and alignment with company marketing and sales objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects, vendors, timelines, and budgets simultaneously.
Duties and responsibilities
Tradeshow Management / Event Planning & Execution
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Leadership teams to define event objectives and success metrics.
- Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, roadshows, pop-up events, customer events, and industry conferences.
- Develop comprehensive event plans, project timelines, and execution schedules.
- Coordinate all event logistics, including venue selection, registration, booth setup, transportation, shipping, signage, catering, staffing, and on-site operations.
- Coordinate both design, production, installation, and dismantling.
- Handle exhibitor registrations, sponsorship opportunities, event requirements, and compliance deadlines.
- Oversee event setup, customer experience, staffing, inventory, and brand presentation.
- Ensure consistency of brand messaging and event execution across all locations.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with event vendors, agencies, venues, production companies, and suppliers.
- Manage event budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.
- Review contracts and ensure vendor compliance with company standards and expectations.
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and ensure a positive attendee experience.
- Measure event performance using KPIs such as attendance, lead generation, engagement, pipeline contribution, and ROI.
- Prepare post-event reports and recommendations for future improvements.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience managing trade shows, experiential marketing events, roadshows, or corporate events.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex event logistics and multi-location programs.
- Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and contracts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, event management platforms, and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours as required by event schedules.
- Ability to work under pressure and motivation to succeed in a competitive environment
