ACCOUNTS PAYABLE REP

Job purpose

This role is responsible for reviewing and processing invoices and their accompanying documentation. 

Duties and responsibilities

• Process invoices into the company ERP system
• Review invoices for appropriate information, documentation, and approvals before payment.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Answer vendor inquiries.
• Print and review for appropriate signatures on all accounts payable checks and distribute as needed.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
• Analyze accounts, as required.
• Open mail daily to process any new vendors.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associate degree or 4 years’ equivalent experience
• Accounts payable experience required.
• Knowledge and experience of accounting/financial terms and procedures
• Strong knowledge of computer and typing skills to include Microsoft Office products
• Epicor experience a plus
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.  
• Be motivated, a self-starter, and a team player.
• Able to critically think, problem solve and be accountable.
• Professional with excellent interpersonal skills, dependable and reliable
•  Able to plan and prioritize daily activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities and reports directly to the Account Payable Supervisor. 

Physical Demands

• Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours 
• Ability to work in an interactive office group setting, and spend primary working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and infrequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
