The Sr. I&E Technician will be responsible for installing, routing, and terminating instrumentation tubing systems, performing leak testing and system verification, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards. They will collaborate with project teams, maintain accurate documentation, and follow all safety protocols to support safe and reliable operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, route, and secure stainless steel and other tubing for instrumentation and electrical systems according to P&IDs, isometric drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Perform precision bending, flaring, and swaging using manual and hydraulic tools.
- Terminate and connect tubing to transmitters, gauges, valves, and other field devices.
- Conduct leak testing, flushing, and system verification to ensure integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with electricians, instrument fitters, and engineers to coordinate installation schedules and resolve field challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including redlining drawings and updating as-builts.
- Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and confined space procedures.
- Proven experience in I&E tubing installation in industrial environments (oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or similar).
- Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and isometric drawings.
- Proficiency with tubing tools such as benders, cutters, flaring tools, and swaging equipment.
- Knowledge of industry standards (ISA, API, ASTM) and best practices for tubing installation.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments.
