This position serves as the entry point into the maintenance organization and provides hands-on training in the repair and maintenance of advanced textile manufacturing equipment. Successful candidates will work alongside experienced technicians while developing valuable mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and troubleshooting skills.

What You'll Do

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will support plant operations by helping maintain equipment, facilities, and utilities in a safe and reliable condition.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and support systems.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment failures.
• Support electrical troubleshooting and repair activities under the direction of experienced technicians.
• Repair and maintain motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, and other mechanical components.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance issues before failures occur.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Support maintenance projects and equipment installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in automotive repair, diesel mechanics, industrial maintenance, farm equipment maintenance, machinery repair, military maintenance, or related technical fields.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motors, sensors, or controls.
• Ability to read and use mechanical measuring devices and hand tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Mechanical Experience May Include

• Automotive technician or mechanic
• Equipment repair technician
• Diesel mechanic
• Maintaining Agricultural Equipment
• Manufacturing maintenance
• Construction equipment maintenance
• Military mechanical maintenance
• HVAC or trade school experience

Safety Requirements

Training will be provided on all company-specific safety requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work from ladders, platforms, and elevated work areas when required.
