Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will work independently within established procedures to perform routine and specialized analytical testing on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate evaluation of physical and chemical properties, operate laboratory instrumentation effectively, and uphold safety and quality standards. Duties
- Work independently within established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Perform routine and specialized analytical methods to evaluate the physical and chemical properties of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products against established specifications.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation such as NIR (Near-Infrared Spectroscopy) devices and laser diffraction analyzers.
- Escalate deviations, equipment issues, or non-conforming results to the Regional Laboratory Supervisor as required.
- Document all testing procedures, observations, and results accurately in accordance with company protocols.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working independently in a laboratory setting with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques used for evaluating physical and chemical properties of materials.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation such as NIR spectrometers and laser diffraction analyzers is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to identify issues with equipment or results promptly and escalate appropriately.
- Understanding of safety protocols and quality standards relevant to laboratory operations.
- Educational background in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline is desirable.
