Key Responsibilities
- FinOps Strategy Development: Design and implement cloud financial operations strategies to optimize cloud spending and improve cost efficiency across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Cost Management & Reporting: Manage the complete cloud cost reporting lifecycle, including accurate cost allocation, chargeback/show-back processes, and forecasting enhancements.
- Optimization & Efficiency: Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify and implement optimization opportunities, focusing on rightsizing, utilization improvement, and waste reduction.
- Governance & Compliance: Contribute to the creation and enforcement of cloud governance policies, including tagging standards, cost accountability, and infrastructure request management.
- Stakeholder Support: Provide expert guidance on cloud financial management practices, delivering insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for financial and technical requirements, ensuring consistency and traceability across cloud operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on emerging FinOps frameworks, cloud technologies, and industry trends to support ongoing process and performance enhancement.
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a large or multi-cloud environment.
- Strong technical and financial understanding of AWS and Azure resources, services, and pricing models.
- Practical knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost management practices.
- Proficiency in analyzing cloud billing and utilization data to produce actionable financial insights.
- Demonstrated success in implementing cloud cost optimization or governance initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience using FinOps or cloud cost management tools such as Apptio or Cloudability.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
