MATERIAL HANDLER
Direct Mail Solutions is a full-service mail company located in Richmond, Virginia. DMS is seeking a Material Handler, who will assist Lettershop Operators in our production department.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Safe operation of material movement equipment.
- Ability to efficiently operate computerized inventory systems.
- Efficient and effective handling of finished product/mail while tracking and storing.
- Safe and well-organized loading of materials into machines.
- Order and return material to and from the warehouse.
- Assist coworkers in other areas for the overall success of the entire production department.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
- Basic computer and communication skills are required.
- Pallet Jack experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, occasionally more than 50 lbs. Frequent bending, twisting, and pulling.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willing to work overtime as it is needed.
This is a full-time position. Day shift available.
Core day shift hours are three days a week 6:00am - 7:30pm
