Position: Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Lead

Location: Tysons, VA (Hybrid – Onsite 3 Days/Week) Locals Only

Contract: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Lead to drive enterprise-scale marketing automation initiatives and lead a team of SFMC developers. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll shape architecture, oversee implementations, review code, and partner with business and engineering teams to deliver innovative customer engagement solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) implementation and development initiatives
✅ Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and solution design
✅ Perform code reviews and mentor a team of SFMC developers
✅ Develop scalable solutions using AMPScript, SQL, SSJS, APIs, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver personalized, data-driven marketing campaigns
✅ Estimate project timelines, create proof of concepts (POCs), and drive platform best practices
✅ Evaluate AI technologies and provide strategic recommendations on build-vs-buy decisions
✅ Integrate SFMC with Sales Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Data Cloud, Snowflake, Google Analytics, Tableau, and other enterprise platforms

Required Qualifications:
✔️ 10 years of overall IT experience
✔️ 5 years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development
✔️ Strong experience with AMPScript, SQL, SSJS, REST/SOAP APIs, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Content Builder
✔️ Experience leading SFMC implementations and managing technical teams
✔️ Strong solution architecture and cross-cloud integration experience
✔️ Experience working in financial services or large enterprise environments preferred
✔️ Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant/Developer certification is a plus
