Job Description

DMS International is seeking a Market Research Consultant to support an upcoming federal contract opportunity. The Consultant will lead and implement market research strategies to assess public interest, preferences, and engagement related to a museum. The role requires strong experience in qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis, and reporting for nonprofit and museum sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with executive-level stakeholders and applying data-driven insights to strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and forecast marketing trends, demographics, and audience preferences relevant to museums and nonprofit organizations
  • Design and execute data collection methods such as focus groups, surveys, interviews, and public opinion polls
  • Gather and analyze data on community interests, competitor offerings, and broader market conditions using statistical software
  • Convert complex data findings into clear and actionable tables, graphs, and written reports
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on market data to inform museum development and community engagement
  • Interpret and apply relevant government policies, regulations, and directives as directed by the client
  • Communicate findings and strategic insights effectively to executive-level personnel through oral briefings and written documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research or a related field in Business, Communications, or Social Sciences
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or 12 years with a Master’s degree or higher in a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in market research methodologies and tools
  • Strong experience with statistical analysis software and data visualization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to brief senior stakeholders
  • Experience conducting research within nonprofit or museum-focused contexts preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • · Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
