Job Summary:

The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems in various commercial settings. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes, blueprints, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on blueprints and specifications.

• Bend and install conduit, including rigid, EMT, and flexible conduit.

• Pull wire and terminate connections in panels, junction boxes, and outlets.

• Install lighting fixtures, receptacles, switches, and other electrical devices.

• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform necessary repairs.

• Inspect electrical systems to ensure compliance with NEC and local codes.

• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

• Work effectively as part of a team and independently.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Journeyman.

• Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment.

• Strong understanding of electrical safety practices.

• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

• Experience with1 specific electrical systems (e.g., fire alarm, security, data cabling).

• Valid Journeyman card.
