DMJ Transportation is seeking an organized, dependable Shop Foreman to help lead the day-to-day maintenance operations of our vehicle fleet.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong automotive or heavy-duty maintenance background who is ready to take on a leadership role. The Shop Foreman will coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance, establish daily shop priorities, manage parts and inventory, and keep communication flowing between mechanics, drivers, vendors, and management.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and prioritize daily vehicle repairs and preventative maintenance
- Work closely with mechanics to keep repairs moving efficiently
- Communicate with terminals regarding vehicle and maintenance needs
- Order parts and supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Coordinate with outside vendors and repair facilities
- Schedule maintenance and repairs with drivers
- Create and maintain repair orders and maintenance records
- Keep maintenance software accurate and up to date
- Help identify equipment, parts, and operational needs
- Support management in keeping the fleet safe, reliable, and on the road
What We're Looking For
- Automotive, diesel, bus, truck, or fleet maintenance experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with mechanics, drivers, vendors, and management
- Comfortable using computers and maintenance software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Class B CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain one
- High school diploma or GED required
