About The Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join us. The Systems Engineer will provide technical support, focusing on end-user computing environments, system configuration, and IT service delivery for users at the Pentagon and Mark Center. This role supports mission-critical operations by ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with DoD standards.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for desktop and mobile computing systems, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure systems are compliant with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including installation and verification of Data-at-Rest (DAR) encryption and secure configurations.
- Support the integration of new technologies and software into the enterprise environment.
- Collaborate with help desk and VIP support teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions (WIs).
- Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle refreshes.
- Participate in asset management activities, including tagging, tracking, and disposition of IT equipment.
- Provide technical input for process improvements and participate in working groups as needed.
Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in systems engineering or desktop engineering in a DoD or federal environment.
- Clearance: Active DoD Secret (TS/SCI preferred)
- CompTIA Security certification
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, system imaging, patch management, and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with DoD STIGs, NISPOM, and DISA security policies.
- Experience with enterprise ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Experience supporting VIP or executive-level users.
